Dr. Gandhi has an overall 22+ years of strong experience of deal making in terms of Investments, Mergers and Acquisitions and due-diligence processes focused on Healthcare & Lifesciences. He is amongst the top 20 dedicated healthcare investment bankers in the country.

BIORx under his inspiring leadership has helped over 100 private companies, few public companies and 10+ foreign MNCs into their India foray since its inception in 2012 towards venture creation, scale-up (investable business models and syndicated 1000+ crores as a growth plus M&A capital). These companies ranged from Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology, Contract Research, medical devices, digital healthcare, hospitals including super and single specialty. He has been often quoted in business journals for his views given his superior understanding of the healthcare sector.

Prior to BIORx, Dr. Gandhi has held top and mid management positions in YES Bank, Ranbaxy Research Laboratories (now Sun Pharma), Oncquest (intrapreneur, started venture with Dabur’s support which is now a Rs. 500 crores plus revenue venture catering to niche molecular diagnostics services for cancer), Dabur Research Foundation (now Fresenius Kabi) and INMAS (DRDO).

Dr. Gandhi holds a PhD from Department of Business Administration, AIMA-AMU in the area of Strategy & Technology Management, an MBA from XLRI, Jamshedpur, EMBA in Digital Healthcare Investing from Columbia Business School and M.Sc. in Biotech from the University of Hyderabad. Dr. Gandhi has also successfully completed WIPO Program in Patenting of Biotechnological Innovations.

Dr. Gandhi is a member of various task forces of industry chamber FICCI, CII, ASSOCHAM, ABLE and PHDCCI. He has been mentoring startups at CIIE of IIM Ahmedabad & IIT Delhi for a decade now. He has been actively associated with 40+ life sciences focused incubators across the length and breadth of the country and has a niche experience of policy advocacy and has contributed to first-ever National Biotech Strategy document published by Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India through FICCI in the year 2005. Dr. Gandhi has been conferred to Cross Border Associates (CBA) as M&A Advisor and Management Consultant in India in January 2022. CBA is a global alliance of M&A professionals helping to buy and sell privately held businesses. Having always had a passion for teaching, Dr. Gandhi indulges in guest lectures from time to time. He was recently appointed as an Adjunct Faculty (Strategic Consulting) at Department of Pharmaceutical Management, NIPER-Ahmedabad. He is also an active member for about 15+ years and currently the acting Vice President for the North Chapter, Federation of Asian Biotech Association (FABA). Dr. Gandhi is also a lifetime member of the All-India Management Association (AIMA), New Delhi.
